Thank you - and Merry Christmas! Cocoa - The most gorgeous chocolate shop ever!! Turkey often gets a bad rep but I've been twice most recently in June this year and absolutely love it.

It has some stunning scenery, the people are extremely friendly and can't do enough for you in my experience , prices are reasonable and there is plenty to do.

The main criticisms about Turkey that seem to crop up in horror stories are: 1 Turkey is dirty and has a terrible plumbing system, and 2 Turkish people are rude, dishonest and hassle you like mad.

The plumbing is primitive - generally you're not allowed to put toilet paper down the loo as their plumbing pipes are so narrow; instead you must use the bins provided.

But you soon get used to it. Re: point two - expect to get some hassle from restaurant owners and street sellers.

You can't really blame them - they're often quite poor, it's their livelihood and competition is fierce so they all try to get you through the doors.

But to be honest the hassle is nowhere near as bad as it used to be as they get closed down for two weeks if anyone complains.

The hassle is worst in markets, so don't visit them if you don't think you'll be able to cope with it. I personally really warmed to the Turkish people - they are usually very courteous, absolutely hilarious, very honest many of them will allow you to pay for goods the next day if you haven't the right money on you and extremely helpful.

I'm sure you'll have a great time. Fancy Dress anyone? Charlies' angels? The lion, the witch and the wardrobe? Three of the characters from the Wizard of Oz Dorothy, the witch, the lion, the tin man, the scarecrow?

The book was described as 'humorous' in several reviews but I failed to see what was amusing about it. It was also hard going in terms of plot and length - the storyline never really went anywhere and the book could have been a good pages shorter IMHO.

The constant academia-related references also grated on me after a while. Can anyone recommend a great family board game for Christmas?

Mum has put me in charge of choosing the annual family board game this year. Before I scout the shops, I was wondering if any Forummers could recommend one?

We're all adults so there are no kids to consider. Previous games we've played include 'Who's in the Bag? Hope someone can recommend a great game Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot! Any displays in S7 tonight? If not, which would be the nearest? This is true! I find this comment grossly unfair. I went to The University of Sheffield and rather than looking down my nose at Hallam students I simply feel very lucky to have studied at the university of my choice.

Most universities have rivalries with others through Varsity, etc. Former polytechnics often have more vocational courses, which can be just as if not more useful later in life.

I don't see how an English Lit degree, for example, from a redbrick uni guarantees success and happiness any more than, say, a nursing degree from a former poly.

A friend of mine who gained an excellent degree from a redbrick university is now studying at a former Poly so she can become a mental health nurse.

I think wanting to further your learning in any way can only be a positive thing, regardless of the institution. My advice would be: 1.

If you have a lesson in the hour before your test like many people do, don't assume your test will go the same way as the lesson did.

I know people who had the most frustrating lesson and were sure they would fail their test, then passed with flying colours and vice-versa.

I was told to tilt my rear-view mirror up a fraction so it would be obvious when I was checking my mirror to satisfy your examiner you need to check mirrors with your entire head, rather than just your eyes - if this makes sense!

You will feel nervous but as others have said, try to make the journey as smooth and safe as possible and imagine your examiner is just a regular passenger - it really does help.
